The Cincinnati Bengals announced Wednesday that they’ve placed WR John Ross on injured reserve and promoted WR Stanley Morgan to their active roster.
Last night, Mike Garafolo reported that Ross is expected to miss multiple games with a shoulder injury and could be out “in the range of a month” or more.
Bengals HC Zac Taylor said that Rossโ injury is a 6-8 week injury, which is why they opted to put him on injured reserve.
Ross, 23, is a former first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2017. He’s entering the third year of his four-year contract worth $17,115,864 and included a signing bonus of $10,587,900 and stands to make base salaries of $2,020,988 and $2,798,982 over the final two years.
The contract also has a fifth-year option for the Bengals to pick up in 2020.
In 2019, Ross has appeared in four games for the Bengals and caught 16 passes for 328 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
