David Canter, the agent for CB R.J. Stanford, announced via his Twitter account Monday that his client has signed with the Bengals.

Stanford, 25, was taken in the seventh-round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. He lasted until September of 2012 when he waived was waived and later claimed by the Dolphins.
Last year, he appeared in 13 games and totaled just five tackles for Miami. Pro Football Focus has him rated as one of the worst qualifying special teams players in the league last year.
