The Buffalo Bills officially designated S Colt Anderson to return from injured reserve on Tuesday.
This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Bills to add him to their active roster or he’ll spend the duration of the 2017 season on injured reserve.
Anderson, 32, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2009. He lasted over one year in Minnesota before signing on with the Eagles as a free agent in 2013.
Anderson spent a few years with the Colts before signing a one-year, $840,000 contract with the Bills back in April of last year that included $580,000 fully guaranteed. He was placed on season-ending injured reserve in October.
The Bills re-signed Anderson to a one-year contract this past January but he was cut loose as they cut down their roster to 53 players. Buffalo brought him back only to put him on injured reserve a month later.
In 2017, Anderson appeared in four games and recorded three tackles for the Bills.
