Bills Place RB Aaron Green On I.R. After Clearing Waivers

The Buffalo Bills officially placed RB Aaron Green on injured reserve Tuesday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Green, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of TCU back in 2016. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Rams cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

Unfortunately, the Rams once again waived Green at the start of the regular season last year. After a brief stint with the Cowboys, Green signed on to the Bills’ practice squad and returned to Buffalo on a futures contract this past January.

Green was waived by the Bills on Monday with an injury designation.

In 2016, Green was active for two gamesย but did not record a statistic.

During his college career, Green rushed for 2,531 yards on 469 carries (5.4 YPC) to go along with 40 receptions for 332 yards receiving and 27 total touchdowns.
