The Buffalo Bills announced Tuesday that they’ve promotedย CB Ryan Lewis to their active roster and signedย CB Michael Hunter and WR Hunter Sharp to their practice squad.
The Bills’ practice squad now consists of:
- RB Keith Ford
- DE Mike Love
- S Dean Marlowe
- WR Cam Phillips
- LB Corey Thompson
- CB Levi Wallace
- OL Ruben Holcomb
- DT Kyle Peko
- CB Michael Hunter
- WR Hunter Sharp
Lewis, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in May of last year. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed him to the Cardinals practice squad.
Lewis later caught on with the Patriots signed, but was among their final roster cuts on at the start of the 2018ย regular season. The Bills claimed Lewis off of waivers only to cut him loose and sign him to their practice squad last week.
During his college career at Pittsburgh, Lewis recorded 103 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, a sack, two interceptions and eight pass defenses over the course of 40 games.
