Lacy, 29, wound up signing on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of West Alabama back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Dallas before joining the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL for the 2014 season.
Lacey would return to the NFL and sign with the Dolphins in 2017. From there, he was claimed off of waivers by the Bills in October of 2017 and remained in Buffalo until being waived and claimed by Miami in September of last year.
The Dolphins declined to tender him an offer as a restricted free agent back in March and he returned to the Bills’ practice squad earlier this month.
In 2019, Lacey was active for all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded three total tackles and no other statistics.
