Bills Release Backup QB Thad Lewis

The Buffalo Bills have released backup QB Thad Lewis on Tuesday, according to Pro Football Talk.

This moves comes just a matter of hours after a report mentioned that the Bills are signing veteran QB Jordan Palmer to a contract.

Lewis, 26, was reportedly on the roster bubble, so this news doesn’t come as a huge surprise. He had one year remaining on his contract and was set to make $645,000 for the upcoming season.

Last year, Lewis appeared in six games and completed 59.2 percent of his passes for 1,092 yards to go along with four touchdowns and three interceptions.
