ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Buffalo Bills have released QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.
This move has been rumored to coming for months now and the leaked conversation involving Bills GM Buddy Nix further suggested that Fitzpatrick was not going to be brought back. Nix actually referred to him a backup quarterback.
Fitzpatrick was due a $3 million roster bonus tomorrow. Given that there’s a weak quarterback market, Fitzpatrick could find interest as a backup in the coming days.
