The Buffalo Bills today announced that they’ve signed six players to future/reserve contracts on Monday including:
- LS Reid Ferguson
- CB Charles Gaines
- RB Cedric OโNeal
- S Joe Powell
- LB Max Valles
- QB Josh Woodrumย
Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.
Woodrum, 23, signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Libertyย but was unfortunately waived after the team signed QB B.J. Daniels to their roster.
The Colts signed him to a contract back in May but cut him loose a few months later. It wasn’t until November that he got another opportunity by signing on to the Bears’ practice squad. However, Chicago cut him loose back in early December.
During his four-year college career at Liberty, Woodrum threw for 10,266 yards while completing 63.9 percent of his passes to go along with 61 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. He also contributed 228 yards rushing and 16 rushing touchdowns.
