Jenkins, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.632 million rookie contractย andย signed on with the Raiders as an unrestricted free agent back in March.
The Raiders, unfortunately, released Jenkins and later placed him on injured reserve before cutting him loose last week with a settlement.
In 2016,ย Jenkins appeared in nine games and recorded 29 tackles, no sacks and a pass defense.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 87 linebacker out of 87 qualifying players.
Dupre, 21, was selected in the seventh-round of this year’s NFL draft by the Packers. He signed a four-year, $2.46 million contract and was set to make a base salary of $465,000 for the 2017 season, but was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason.
It was somewhat surprising to see the Packers not sign him to their practice squad, given how much they value draft picks.
During his college career at LSU, Dupre caught 98 passes for 1,609 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns over the course of 31 games.
