The Bills have signed former Steelers LB Tyler Matakevich to a two-year deal worth $9 million according to his agent, per Mike Garafolo.
Matakevich was primarily a special teamer during his tenure in Pittsburgh. But this contract indicates he’ll have a chance to step into a larger role in Buffalo.
Matakevich, 27, was drafted by the Steelers in the seventh round out of Temple in 2016. He signed a four-year rookie deal worth $2.4 million and made a base salary of $720,000 for the 2019 season.
In 2019, Matakevich appeared in all 16 games and recorded two total tackles.
