The Buffalo Bills announced Tuesday that they’ve signed QB Derek Anderson to a contract and waivedย S Dean Marlowe.
- The Bills also signed TEย Keith Towbridge to their practice squad and released CBย Michael Hunter from the unit.
The Bills’ practice squad now consists of:
- RB Keith Ford
- DE Mike Love
- WR Cam Phillips
- LB Corey Thompson
- CB Levi Wallace
- OL Ruben Holcomb
- DT Kyle Peko
- WR Hunter Sharp
- DT Robert Thomas
- TEย Keith Towbridge
Anderson, 35, is a former sixth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2005. He lasted just a few months in Baltimore before he was claimed off of waivers by the Browns.
Anderson spent five years with the Browns before joining the Cardinals in 2010. Anderson has since spent the past seven years as the Panthers’ backup to Cam Newton.
In 2017, Anderson appeared in three games and completed 2 of 8 pass attempts for 17 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions.
