Bills Sign WR Walter Powell To Practice Squad, Cut OT Chris Martin

The Buffalo Bills announced Friday that theyโ€™ve signed WR Walter Powell to their practice squad and waived OT Chris Martin to make room for him.

The Bills practice squad now consists of:

  1. WR Walter Powell
  2. RB Mike Gillislee
  3. WR Titus Davis
  4. DE Cedric Reed
  5. TE Nick Oโ€™Leary
  6. DB Merrill Noel
  7. LB Kevin Reddick (Exception)
  8. G Cyril Richardson (Exception)
  9. WR Dez Lewis
  10. CB Jaylen Watkins

Powell, 23, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in May of last year. He was unable to make the teamโ€™s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but he wound up being claimed off of waivers by the Jets.

Powell was among the Jetsโ€™ final roster cuts, but was later added to their practice squad at the start of the season. He briefly joined the Bills a few weeks ago before signing to the Raidersโ€™ active roster.

In 2014, Powell appeared in four games and totaled 233 kick return yards and 48 punt return yards for the Jets.
