Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bills are signing former Panthers OL Daryl Williams to a one-year contract on Thursday.
Rapoport says it remains to be seen whether Williams will play tackle or guard for the Bills, but he offers position versatility to do either if need be.
Buffalo continues to sign former Panthers. They’ve already added DT Vernon Butler, DE Mario Addison, LB A.J. Klein and Josh Norman the past few weeks.
Williams, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Panthers back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.837 million contract before agreeing to a one-year, $6 million contract with Carolina last year.
Williams was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2019, Williams appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers, making 12 starts for them. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 57 guard out of 80 qualifying players.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
