Update:
Bills QB Josh Allen has been removed from their Bills injury report, meaning he’ll officially start Week 12’s game.
Bills HC Sean McDermott announced Friday that Josh Allen will be their starting quarterback in Week 12, barring a setback in practice leading up to Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.
All indications have been that Allen was going to return this weekend, so this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
Bills HC Sean McDermott told reporters that QBย Derek Anderson remains in the concussion protocol, which means Matt Barkley will serve as Allen’s backup.
Allen, 22, was taken with the No. 7 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Bills. Allen agreed to a four-year, $21,265,508 contract with the Bills that includes a $13,545,824 signing bonus.
The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Bills to pick up in 2021.
In 2018, Allen has appeared in six games for the Bills and completed 54 percent of his passes for 832 to go along with two touchdowns and five interceptions. He has also rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns.
