Bills Trading QB A.J. McCarron To Raiders

Ian Rapoport reports that the Bills are trading QB A.J. McCarron to the Raiders on Saturday.

  •  Adam Schefter reports that Bills receive a fifth-round pick for McCarron.

McCarron, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,401,652 contract and made a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season and was testing the free agent market for the first time in his career.

McCarron won a grievance against the Bengals that stemmed from the team’s decision to place him on the non-football injury list (NFI) at the start of training camp due to a shoulder issue during his rookie year, which allowed him to test the free agent market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The Bills later signed McCarron to a two-year, $10 million contract.

In 2017, McCarron appeared in three games for the Bengals and completed 7 of 14 passes for 66 yards to go along with no touchdowns or interceptions.
