Adam Schefter reports that the Browns are signing OT Jack Conklin to a three-year, $42 million contract with $30 million fully guaranteed.
The Jets were also in the mix to sign Conklin, but indications were that the Browns were going to sign him.
Conklin, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Titans out of Michigan State back in 2016. He just finished the final year of his four-year, $15,897,658 deal and made a base salary of $2,617,863 for the 2019 season.
The Titans declined Conklin’s fifth-year option last year that would have been worth $12.866 million, making him an unrestricted free agent this year for the first time in his career.
In 2019, Conklin started all 16 games for the Titans at right tackle. He finished the year as Pro Football Focus‘ No. 10 offensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
We had him included in our Top 100 – 2020 Free Agents list.
