Ravens Signing Earl Thomas To Four-Year, $55M Deal

Adam Schefter reports that the Ravens are signing former Seahawks S Earl Thomas to a four-year, $55 million contract that includes $32 million fully guaranteed at signing.

Thomas will make $22 million in the first nine months of this agreement with the Ravens.

There wasn’t a lot of buzz about the Ravens being a team to watch for Thomas, but they could clearly use a replacement for safety Eric Weddle, who was released last week.

Baltimore has lost a lot of talent on the defensive side of the ball, but getting Thomas should help to their secondary in good standing.

Thomas, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2010. He played out the final year of his five-year, $44.725 million contract that includes $27.725 million guaranteed and made a base salary of $8.5 million for the 2018 season.

Thomas was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2018, Thomas appeared in four games and recorded 22 tackles, three interceptions and five pass defense for the Seahawks.

We had him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
