The Denver Broncos officially placed DT Paul Boyette on injured reserve after clearing waivers on Thursday.
Boyette, 24, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May of last year. He spent just a few months in Oakland before he was waived coming out of the preseason.
The Broncos signed Boyette to their practice squad in December and elected to bring him back on a futures contract this past January. Unfortunately, Boyette was waived on Wednesday with an injury designation.
During his four-year college career, Boyette recorded 102 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, a forced fumble, three recoveries, and four pass defenses over the course of 35 games.
