Broncos Made Four Moves, Placed DL Matt Henningsen On IR

Per the wire, the Broncos made four roster moves, including placing DL Matt Henningsen on season-ending injured reserve and signing WR Kyrese Rowan.

The team also released DB Sam Webb and signed DB Ricardo Hallman in a corresponding move.

Henningsen went down during an individual pass rushing drill in practice recently, and the worst-case scenario was confirmed. 

It’s a rough break for Henningsen, who hasn’t appeared in a game since 2023 and missed all of last season due to an Achilles tear he suffered in August of last year.  

Henningsen, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Broncos out of Wisconsin back in 2022. He signed a four-year, $3.8 million contract with the Broncos.

However, Henningsen has been on and off their roster ever since and agreed to a futures contract this past January. Denver re-signed Henningsen to a one-year deal in March. 

For his career, Henningsen has appeared in 34 games for the Broncos and recorded 40 tackles, a sack, and two pass defenses.
