The Denver Broncos announced that they’veย placed NT Phil Taylor on injured reserveย andย signed DE Billy Winn to a contract.
Taylor, 28,ย was taken with the No. 21 overall pick by the Browns back in 2011, but was one of the more notable roster cuts at start of lastย season.
Cleveland wound upย picked up Taylor’sย fifth-year option and he was on roster first day of league year,ย which fully guaranteed his base salary ofย $5.477ย million. However,ย Taylor was reportedlyย dealing with knee issues that led to the Browns moving on.
The Broncos signed him to a contract in February.
In 2014, Taylor appeared in just five games and recorded 10 tackles and a pass defense for the Browns.
Winn, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns back in 2012. He spent over three years in Cleveland befor he was traded to the Colts in return for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2017.
In 2015, Winn appeared in 12 games for the Colts and recorded 14 tackles, no sacks and two fumble recoveries.
