Mike Klis reports that the Broncos plan to re-sign veteran Sย Shamarko Thomas to their active roster.
- Denver also signedย DL Niles Scott to their practice squad and released DL DeShawn Williams from the unit.
The Broncos’ practice squad now consists of:
- RB David Williams
- TE Brian Parker
- OL Austin Schlottmann
- WR Carlos Henderson
- CB Brendan Langley
- DT Kyle Peko
- S Trey Marshall
- OLB Jeff Holland
- G Avery Gennesy
- DL Niles Scott
Thomas, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,613,152 rookie contractย with the Steelers and before signing on with the Jets last summer.
Unfortunately, New York elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason and he eventually caught on with the Bills.
Thomas signed on with the Colts a month ago but was released following their first preseason game. Thomas later signed on with the Broncos before being released as they cut their roster down to 53 players.
In 2017, Thomas appeared in 12 games and recorded nine tackles and no interceptions.
