The Denver Broncos have signed DEย Jhaustin Thomas to their practice squad on Thursday, according to Nicki Jhabvala.
The Broncos’ practice squad now consists of:
- S Dymonte Thomas
- DT Tyrique Jarrett
- WRย Hunter Sharp
- C Dillon Day
- TE Brian Parker
- WR Tim Patrick
- DE Stansly Maponga
- CBย Michael Hunter
- OT Jeremiah Poutasi
- DEย Jhaustin Thomas
Thomas, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Colts cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to the Browns’ practice squad.
Thomas most recently had a brief stint on the Raiders’ taxi squad before he was cut loose a few months ago.
During his college career at Iowa State, Thomas recorded 38 tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss, four sacks, and an interception over the course of 17 games and two seasons.
