Troy Renck reports that the Broncos are signing DT Sylvester Williams to their active roster following the loss of DT Mike Purcell.
Williams, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He played out the final year of his rookie contract after the Broncos declined to pick up his fifth-year option in 2017.
From there, Williams signed a three-year, $16.5 million contract with the Titans that included $7.25 million guaranteed. However, he was released the following year.
After brief stints with the Lions, Dolphins, and Saints, Williams signed on with the Chargers last year. He later returned to the Broncos last month and has been on and off of their roster.
For his career, Williams has appeared in 95 games and recorded 133 tackles, 5.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and three passes defended.
