Per Adam Schefter, the Broncos are signing OLB Anthony Chickillo off the Saints practice squad to their active roster.
Chickillo should provide a veteran boost to a Broncos edge-rushing group in need of help after Von Miller‘s injury.
Chickillo, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2015. He was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the team’s practice squad.
From there, Chickillo was promoted to the Steelers’ active roster a few weeks into the 2015 season. Chickillo signed a two-year, $8 million extension with the Steelers last year.
The Steelers released Chickillo back in March and he signed a deal with the Saints in May.
In 2019, Chickillo appeared in 11 games for the Steelers and recorded 15 tackles and a half sack.
