The Denverย Broncos officially waived DT Paul Boyette from injured reserve with a settlement on Saturday.
Boyette, 24, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May of last year. He spent just a few months in Oakland before he was waived coming out of the preseason.
The Broncos signed Boyette to their practice squad in December and elected to bring him back on a futures contract this past January. Unfortunately, Boyette was waived on Wednesday with an injury designation and later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list.
During his four-year college career, Boyette recorded 102 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, a forced fumble, three recoveries, and four pass defenses over the course of 35 games.
