The Denver Broncos are waiving LB A.J. Johnson and promoting OLB Jeff Holland to their active roster on Thursday, according to Mike Klis.
Johnson, 26, wound up signing on with the Broncos back in August and managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
However, Johnson was limited to be active for one game. He has yet to record a statistic.
Holland, 21, wound up signing on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in May. He was waived coming out of the preseason before later signing on to the Broncos’ practice squad.
During his college career at Auburn, Holland recorded 71 tackles, 12.5 sacks, five forced fumble, two recoveries and a pass defense over the course of three seasons and 32 games.
