Denver Broncos HC John Fox doesn’t plan to rest QB Peyton Manning down the stretch, according to USA Today.
“That has not been an option, and not something that we’ll talk about,” Fox said. “Right now, our main agenda is to get better and improve so we can be playing our best football in January.”
The Broncos are currently the second seed in the AFC and have a one-game lead over the New England Patriots, so keeping Peyton Manning on the field could lock up home field advantage and a first round bye for the postseason. Of course, with Manning’s advanced age, an injury risk exists.
