Browns Waive LB Zac Diles & Claim OL Andrew McDonald

The Cleveland Browns announced that they claimed OL Andrew McDonald off waivers from the Colts and placed LB Zac Diles on waivers.

Diles, 29, was drafted by the Texans in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft out of Kansas State.  He has since had stints with the Rams, Buccaneers, Colts, Titans, Chiefs, and the Browns.  Diles was among the Browns’ final cuts before the start of the season.

He later signed on with the Texans before joining the Browns again this past October.

Diles has appeared in five games and recorded three tackles this season.

The Cleveland Browns have claimed OL Andrew McDonald off of waivers from the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, according to agent Brett Tessler.

Indianapolis parted ways with McDonald to free up a roster spot for CB Sheldon Price, who signed off of their practice squad on Monday.

McDonald, 26, signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana back in 2012. He later signed on to the Panthers’ practice squad October of last year and Carolina later signed him to a future/reserve contract.

Before joining the Colts a few weeks ago, McDonald briefly played for the Seahawks.

He has appeared in two games while playing for the Seahawks this season.
