According to Adam Schefter, Browns DE Emmanuel Ogbah did not report to the Browns offseason program today in anticipation of being traded soon.
Ogbah has been available for trade for a few weeks now after the Browns acquired Olivier Vernon in a deal with the Giants.
Ogbah, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $6.6 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,351,314 for the 2019 season.
Ogbah will be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing will free up $1,351,314 of available cap space while creating $751,753 in dead money.
In 2018, Ogbah appeared in 14 games for the Browns and recorded 40 tackles, three sacks, a fumble recovery and eight pass defenses.
