Browns Expected To Hire Amos Jones As Special Teams Coach

Alex Marvez of the Sporting News is reporting that the Browns are expected to hire Amos Jones as their special teams coach.

Jones, 58, began his coaching career as a graduate assistant with Alabama back in 1981. He spent a good majority of his coaching career in the college ranks before being hired by the Steelers as an assistant in 2007.

After four years, Pittsburgh promoted Jones to their special teams coordinator in 2012 but he was fired after just one season. The Cardinals later hired him as their special teams coordinator the following year and he remained in that position until now.
