Update:
Jeff Darlington of the NFL.com reports that the veteran RB Willis McGahee has passed his physical and is now officially a member of the Browns.
- Darlington adds that McGahee expects to play Sunday.
McGahee was reportedly in great shape, so conditioning shouldn’t be an issue for him. The Browns will still need to decide whether this is the best option for them. Cleveland may end up using a combination of Chris Ogbonnaya and Bobby Rainey in Week 3, but McGahee is clearly their best running back.

Jason La Canfora first reported that the Browns are expected to sign veteran RB Willis McGahee if he’s able to pass a physical.
The Browns just sent former No. 3 overall pick Trent Richardson to the Colts in return for a 2014 first-round pick.
Cleveland currently has Chris Ogbonnaya and Bobby Rainey on their roster that the running back position, so it appears as though McGahee will get a shot at being their No. 1 back.
