Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Browns have also fired OC Todd Haley on Monday.
This comes shortly after the news that the Browns had hired HC Hue Jackson.
Over the weekend, reports mentioned that changes were expected to be coming for the Browns with Jackson and Haley both being possible candidates to be replaced, but it seemed as though the team would only part ways with one of them.
Clearly, Browns GM John Dorsey felt that it was best to completely overhaul the team’s coaching staff, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.
The Browns are reportedly moving forward with Al Saunders as their interim head coach.
Haley, 51, began his NFL career with the Jets as a scouting assistant back in 1995. He has worked for a number of teams including the Bears, Cowboys and Chiefs before joining the Steelers as their offensive coordinator in 2012.
The Browns hired Haley as their offensive coordinator for the 2018 season.
We’ll have more regarding the Browns as the news is available.
