Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer writes that the Browns are ”a lock” to add a veteran WR during the offseason and takes a look at some of the available options to the Browns.
Cabot mentions that Browns GM Tom Heckert actually drafted Eagles WR DeSean Jackson while in Philadelphia and head coach Pat Shurmur was apart of their staff as well. There have been other reports that have suggested that the Eagles will shop Jackson after applying their franchise tag to him.
Cleveland needs playmakers and whether they target someone in the draft or in free agency makes little difference. You can’t expect a quarterback to be successful given the weapons that Mike Holmgren and company have supplied them.
