The Cleveland Browns officially announced the hiring of Bills LB coach Jim O’Neil as their new defensive coordinator position.
The Browns also announced the hiring of:
- Shawn Mennenga assistant special teams coach
- Brian Angelichio as TEs coach
- Jeff Hafley DBs coach
- Bob Babich as assistant DBs coach
- Chuck Dreisbach as LBs coach
- Brian Fluery as assistant asst LBs coach
O’Neil spent last season with new Browns HC Mike Pettine in Buffalo and dates back to Pettine’s time with the New York Jets.
As for the Browns offensive coordinator position, former Titans OC Dowell Loggains and former Redskins OC Kyle Shanahan are both believed to be options to run Cleveland’s offense.
