Browns Open To Trading No. 1 Overall Pick

On Thursday, Browns GM John Dorsey told reporters at the Combine that he’s open to everything including trading the No. 1 overall pick.

โ€œThereโ€™s a lot of things I can do at No. 1 and not just get a quarterback,โ€ Dorsey said, via Pro Football Talk. โ€œMy door is wide open if somebody wants to come up and talk to me about a trade, Iโ€™m willing to trade. But also Iโ€™m going to do whatโ€™s best for this organization, and I will do that.โ€

Dorsey explained that the would also consider moving the No. 4 overall pick and welcomes calls from interested teams.

โ€œAny good G.M. wants to field phone calls from all of his peers. Why wouldnโ€™t I?โ€ Dorsey said. โ€œThatโ€™s why I say, โ€˜Give me a call and see whatโ€™s up.’โ€

Cleveland is widely expected to use the top pick on a quarterback prospect. Dorsey admitted that this is a crucial offseason for his team.

โ€œAs an organization, we understand this is a pivotal offseason for us,โ€ Dorsey said. โ€œWe have really done our due diligence in laying out a plan, and I feel really good about that plan moving forward.โ€

We’ll have more regarding the Browns possibly moving their first-round picks as the news is available.
