Browns Promote DT Brian Price, Waive DL Devaroe Lawrence

The Cleveland Browns announced Thursday that they’ve promoted DL Brian Price to their active roster and waived DL Devaroe Lawrence.

Price, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas-San Antonio back in 2016. However, he was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Packers waived Price as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit coming out of the preseason last year and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Cowboys.

Dallas re-signed Price to a two-year, $1.35 million contract back in March, but elected to cut him loose. He was quickly claimed off of waivers by the Raiders, only to be released soon after and eventually signed to the Browns’ practice squad.

In 2017, Price appeared in eight games for the Cowboy and recorded eight tackles and one pass defense.
