The Cleveland Browns announced Wednesday that they’ve promotedย LB Jayson DiManche to their active roster and placed WR Andrew Hawkinsย on season-ending injured reserve.
- The Browns also signed OL Conor Boffeli to their practice squad.
DiManche, 24, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out ofย Southern Illinois back in 2013. He was waived/injured during the first round of roster cutsย and eventually released from injured reserve with a settlement.
The Browns wound up signingย DiManche off of the Bengals practice squad a few monthsย ago, butย later signed on to the Browns practice squad.
This season, DiManche has appeared in one game, but didn’t record a single statistic.
Hawkins,ย 29, is in the second year of his ย four-year, $13.6 million contractย that includedย $4 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary ofย $2.3 million this season to go along withย $2.5 million in 2016 and: $2.6 million in 2017.
This season, Hawkins appeared in eight games and caught 27 passes for 276 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Browns.
