Cleveland Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme is set to return to game action this week. Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports that Browns head coach Eric Mangini indicated that Delhomme will receive the majority of reps during practice for the week.
It looks like the Browns will prepare Delhomme to lead their offense against the Baltimore Ravens defense on Sunday. Not necessarily the best team to face as you return from an injury but Delhomme will have show that he can keep the Browns in the game. Seneca Wallace hasn’t exactly put up great numbers during Delhommes absence but the Browns have remained competitive without him.
Eric Mangini may be fighting for his job this season which could led him to play Wallace if Delhomme struggles. Neither quarterback looks to be in the teams long-term plans but the Browns will still expect progress to be made.
