Browns RB Ben Tate Expected To Miss 2-4 Weeks

Browns HC Mike Pettine told reporters on Wednesday that RB Ben Tate is “definitely out” for Week 2’s game due to aย sprained knee, per Pat McManamon.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Browns RB Ben Tateย is expected to miss 2-4 weeks withย a sprained knee.

  • Rapoport adds that this will depend on how Tate heals in the coming weeks.

For the time being, Cleveland will look toย Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell to carry the load while Tate is out.

Last week,ย West ran forย 100 yards on 16 carries against the Steelers whileย Crowell totaledย 32 yards and two touchdowns on five carries.

The Browns signed Tate to a two-year, $6.2 million contractย that includedย $2.5 million guaranteed back in March.
