The Cleveland Browns officially signed DB Ashton Lampkin to a futures contract for the 2019 season on Saturday.
Lampkin, 24, signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in 2017. The Chiefs waived him with an injury designation during the preseason last year and he later reverted to their PUP list.
However, Kansas City would waive him with an injury settlement a few weeks later. The Browns eventually signed Lampkin to their practice squad in December.
During his college career at OSU, Lampkin recorded 111 tackles, five interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, 12 pass defenses, two forced fumbles and a recovery over the course of five seasons and 49 games.
