Browns Trying To Trade DE Emmanuel Ogbah

Adam Schefter reports that the Browns are now shopping DE Emmanuel Ogbah in trade talks after acquiring Olivier Vernon in a deal with the Giants.

There was some buzz that Ogbah could be available for trade following the Vernon deal, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

Ogbah, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $6.6 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,351,314 for the 2019 season.

Ogbah will be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.

According to, releasing will free up $1,351,314 of available cap space while creating $751,753 in dead money.

In 2018, Ogbah appeared in 14 games for the Browns and recorded 40 tackles, three sacks, a fumble recovery and eight pass defenses.
