Browns Worked Out Five Free Agents

The Cleveland Browns brought in five free agents for tryouts on Monday, according to Howard Balzer, including WR Devin Lucien.

The full list includes:

  1. WR Chance Allen
  2. WR Devin Lucien
  3. WR Brandon Reilly
  4. OT Dakoda Shepley
  5. LB Alex Singleton

Lucien, 25, is a former seventh-round pick by the Patriots out of Arizona State in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was in the first year of a four-year rookie contract when the Patriots decided to waive him and sign him to their practice squad.

New England re-signed him to a futures contract back in February but was eventually waived with an injury settlement at the start of the 2016 season. Lucien had brief stints on the Colts, Chiefs, and Texansโ€™ practice squads before joining the Buccaneers.

Lucien returned to the Buccaneers on a futures contract this past January before he was waived a few months later. Lucien returned to the Patriots in July only to be among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

During his four-year college career, Lucien recorded 124 receptions for 1,826 yards receiving (14.7 YPC) and 12 touchdowns.
