Browns Worked Out Six Including LB NaVorro Bowman

Adam Schefter reports that the Browns are scheduled to bring in veteran LB NaVorro Bowman for a workout on Tuesday.

Howard Balzer posted the full list of tryouts for the Browns, which includes:

  1. LB NaVorro Bowman
  2. WR Chad Hansen
  3. WR Blake Jackson
  4. WR Korey Robertson
  5. WR Damore’ea Stringfellow
  6. C Jake Eldrenkamp (Visit)

Of this group, the Browns signed Jackson and Eldrenkamp to their practice squad.

This is actually the first reported visit in Bowman since free agency opened back in March.

The Packers came up as a speculative option a few months ago, but nothing ever came of the idea.

Bowman, 29, is a former third-round pick of the 49ers back in 2010. He was in the second year of his seven-year, $77 million contract that includes $20 million guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $6.75 million for the 2017 season when the 49ers released him.

The Raiders later signed Bowman to a one-year, $3 million contract and he’s now in position to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2017, Bowman has appeared in 15 games and recorded 127 tackles, 1.5 sacks, an interception, a fumble recovery and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 11 linebacker out of 87 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
