Mike Florio or Pro Football Talk, citing a league source, reports that former Cardinals HC Bruce Arians is regarded as one of the “leading candidates” for head coaching jobs that will be available after the season.
Reporters from around the NFL have estimated that we could see between six to seven head-coaching vacancies this time around.
A number of teams could be in the market for an experienced offensive-minded head coach to help out their offense.
Arians previously said that the only coaching job he would consider returning for is the Browns.
โCleveland is the only job I would consider,โ Arians said, via CantonRep.com.
Arians made the decision to step down as the Cardinals’ head coach after the 2017 season due to concerns about his health.
Arians, 66,ย was hired by the Cardinals back in 2013 after he filled in for Colts HC Chuck Pagano while he was fighting cancer and managed to win Coach of the Year. During his five years with the Cardinals, Arians led them to a record of 49-30-1 (61.9 percent), which includes two playoff appearances and a trip to the NFC Championship game in 2015.
We’ll have more regarding Arians as the news is available.
