The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially activated running backs Raymond Calais and Aca’Cedric Ware from the COVID-19 list on Thursday.
Ware was placed on waivers upon being activated.
Ware, 23, wound up signing on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of USC last year. He was waived coming out of the preseason before eventually signing on to the Buccaneers’ practice squad in October.
Ware returned to Tampa Bay on a futures contract after the season.
During his college career at USC, Ware rushed for 1,505 yards on 264 carries (5.7 YPC) to go along with 19 receptions for 126 yards receiving and 10 total touchdowns over the course of four seasons and 35 games.
