The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have claimed TE Jordan Leggett off of waivers from the Jets on Tuesday, according to Field Yates.
Manish Mehta reports that five NFL teams placed waivers claims for Leggett.
Leggett, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jets back in 2017. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,682,052 contract and stands to make a base salary of $645,000 for the 2019 season.
The Jets made the decision to waive Leggett on Monday to make room for P Matt Darr.
In 2018, Leggett appeared in 15 games for the Jets and caught 14 passes for 114 yards receiving and one touchdown.
