Buccaneers Free Agent WR Vincent Jackson Has No Plans To Retire

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that veteran WRย Vincent Jackson has no plans to retire from the NFL, despite some recent speculation that he could call it a career.

Jackson’s contract with the Buccaneers is up, which means he’ll be an unrestricted free agent next week.

Jackson, 34, is a former first-round pick of the Chargers back in 2005.ย He spent seven years in San Diego before signing a five-year, $55,555,555 contract that included $26 million guaranteed with the Buccaneers back in 2012.

Jackson made a base salary of ย $9,777,778 for the 2016 seasonย but unfortunately suffered a knee injury that led to him being placed on injured reserve.

In 2016, Jackson appeared in five games for the Buccaneers and recorded 15 receptions for 173 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Jackson’s free agent options as the news is available.
