Buccaneers Hosting DL Ed Oliver & DT Dexter Lawrence For Visits

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Buccaneers are hosting Clemson DT Dexter Lawrence and Houston DL Ed Oliver for pre-draft visits on Wednesday.

This comes shortly after a report mentioned that the Buccaneers are shopping DT Gerald McCoy “hard” in trade talks (NFLTR), but aren’t finding much interest.

Oliver, 21, is a really intriguing prospect, who has tested really well throughout the draft process. There’s even been talk about some teams wanting him to play linebacker at the next level.

Oliver could end up being a top-10 pick when all is said and done.

During his three-year college career at Houston, Oliver recorded 192 tackles, 53 tackles for a loss, 13.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, a recovery and 11 pass defenses over the course of 32 games.

Lawrence is among the best defensive line prospects in this year’s draft and should end up being a first-round pick when all is said and done.

During his three-year college career at Clemson, Lawrence recorded 131 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, 10 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, three recoveries and four pass defenses.
