Jason Cole reports that the Buccaneers are “very confident” that they’ll be able to sign WR Vincent Jackson but adds that Cortland Finnegan is a long-shot at this point.

Yahoo Sports’ Jason Cole tweets that the “market has changed” in recent days and the Buccaneers are no longer the favorites to sign CB Cortland Finnegan.

If was previously reported that Finnegan was courting Vincent Jackson to join him in Tampa and considering that the Buc’s have as big of a need at cornerback as anyone, the idea made plenty of sense. Tampa Bay may have to step up their pursuit if they’re hoping to sign him in the coming days.
